What We Do

Low Energy House in the Cotswolds
Completed in 2012 this contemporary house features steeply pitched gabled roofs at each end and is a modern interpretation of the cotswolds vernacular. The Client wanted rooms which could connect to the garden and lend themselves to family visits, taking advantage of the spectacular view across the Slad valley. The flank walls to the terrace create the appearance of a plinth growing out of ground rather than a balcony
The building is ecologically sound but not overtly ‘eco’ in appearance. It is well insulated and incorporates sustainable features including rainwater harvesting and an air source heat pump. A large roof overhang and the projecting terrace provide solar shading to the south facing glazing
